JUNETEENTH & FATHERS DAY
COMMUNITY CELEBRATION

Each year we celebrate with the community the important cultural holiday of Juneteenth. Its a time to remember the announcement by the Union Army proclaiming freedom for enslaved people in Texas, which was the last state of the Confederacy with institutional slavery.

 

This day is filled with traditional food and activities for families and is highlighted by a community 3 on 3 basketball tournament.
